Consider how little, Adtech (Advertising Technology) has evolved to meet the changing values and expectations of users. Users increasingly expect to get what they want, when they want it from their connected experience. They want access to content or services on demand-across multiple devices, with the minimum of disruption; all with the expectation of a quality UX (User Experience).
The omnipresence of Digital Video Ads, juxtaposed against these and other, now ingrained user needs and expectations, creates a state of inbalance that must be addressed once and for all; for the sake of advertisers, publishers, other providers and the Industry as a whole.
The Adtech that is being used to reach users/consumers is built primarily around data and numbers yes, of course highly intelligently. But it is still centered ultimately around the need to find better ways for advertisers to turn users into consumers. At the risk of stating the obvious..that is diametrically opposed to the needs and expectations of the users themselves.
Our CASPAD concept is centered around this apparent reality. That User Experience (UX) is not high or at least high enough, on the agendas of many of the organizations providing services or content into the world of the connected user.
When one thinks about how critical the user is to the entire monetization of the digital ecosystem, coupled with the rising importance of First party data, the question we couldn't ignore is why?
